ICU, ICU-SICU – the Electronic Control Unit for Breathing Apparatus
This alarm system continually monitors the following: - Pressure
- Motion
- Temperature
- Remaining service time
- Battery capacity
The ICU replaces the simple standard pressure gauge but incorporates a gauge in addition to the electronic features. Furthermore, the ICU has a motion sensor which gives alarm if the user is motionless thus facilitating locating and helping the fire fighter.
The advantages of the ICU: - Electronic control unit with pressure sensor and mechanical pressure gauge [back up system]
- Automatic activation when opening compressed air cylinder
- Indication of proper functioning by LEDs
- Illuminated display on inquiry, e.g. remaining service time, pressure alarming
- Audible alarm with varying sound patterns at pressure levels of:
150 bar - 100 bar - 60 bar
- Additional visible alarm [LEDs] from 60 bar dow
- Indication of dropping pressure by graphic symbol
- Indication of cylinder pressure on luminescent analog pressure gauge
- Retreat time can be programmed
- Audible warning at temperature increase
- Battery capacity indication and audible warning of low battery
- Integral motion sensor
- Flashing LED and audible alarm at motion stand-still
- Button for manual alarm in emergencies
- Data storage of information for up to 30 hours of use duration
- User-friendly readout software for PC
- Flexible alarm point setting via software
- Standard interface to PC
- Key can be retrofitted as an option
